Happy October 2022!
October already? It’s like I’m “falling” into this month trying to put my brakes on, ha! It feels like just yesterday I was telling you about my projects in September. In case you missed it, you can check it out here. ► Updates, News and More at Books by Rose September 2022
This month has already been a busy one, too. Read on to find out more…
Support Business Saturday Shout Outs
If you follow my “Books by Rose” Facebook page, you’ve seen I’ve started something new. I didn’t know it was going to get so big by just sharing one post, but it took off.
What I’m doing is a “Support Business Saturday Day” shout out to business pages to friends and people I’ve connected with over the years. I can’t tell you how fun this has been and it’s been wonderful meeting other business owners, as well. I’ve decided I will now do this until December 24, 2022, the last Saturday in December.
If you have a business page and would like to be added, please write me a note or give me a shout out on Facebook. On Saturdays, you will see this image, or something like it with these words. I’ll change the image in November and will make a new one for December.
I tag 5 business pages each Saturday. (This is the October image I’m using now.)

Celebrating a Special Day
My husband and I are going to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary at the end of this month. Since we dated 6 years to the day we were married, that makes us come up to 50 years together!! I wouldn’t change a thing these past years. We have been blessed with two wonderful sons and two grandchildren.
W.I.P.
My next “work in progress” is coming along and close to getting finished. I can’t tell you too much yet, but it’s an Early Reader. I can tell you these two things so far…
- I’m waiting for the person this book is dedicated to, to get back to me with a few jokes, which will be on page 13. (The jokes will be only on this one page.)
- This book will be more suited for spring and summer, so you probably won’t hear me talking about it until after the holidays.
Halloween
I have to be honest, Halloween is not a big day at our house like it was when our sons were growing up. Yes, we still put candy out for the kids who trick-or-treat and decorate a little bit. (I’ve always wanted to call it, “Happy Pumpkin Day.)
The past two years, we have set out individually wrapped candies in a bowl by our Little Free Library. I try and find fall and Halloween themed books to add to our bowl, too. We’ve been very lucky how respectful our families have been with this new concept. (Thank you neighbors!)
Last, But Not Least…
Tell us about you and what you’ve been up to?
Any new projects? Plans for the fall months?
We’d love to hear from you.
As always,
Happy Reading!
Rosie
Hi Rosie, thanks again for the wonderful shout out this month it was really appreciated. Happy anniversary, and I’m looking forward to learning more about your next book. Halloween is usually pretty quiet around here, but I do have a little something special planned this year.
Hi Sandra, you are so welcome.
Thank you for your kind wishes.
I’m excited for you all to see my next book, too.
Since I’ve seen some of your posts on your pages, I have a feeling whatever you are up to, will be a ton of fun for your Halloween guests.
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you always. 🙂
Love your small business shoutout! Such a great idea. Congrats on your 44th anniversary! We have a lot in common – we are both authors. got married the same year, and both have two sons. Looking forward as always to your next book. Happy fall!
Hi Julie, yes, I was excited to learn of all the things we share in common. Even the colors at our weddings were the same.
My next book has been a fun one and I hope readers will enjoy it this next spring or summer. I guess it gives it a bit of a clue that it won’t be a winter book. It’s hard not to give too much away. Ha! 🙂
Happy Fall and I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend. You deserve it. You have been busy, busy.
