If you are reading this blog, then it’s a fair guess you love to read and love books.
In this featured post, we are here to celebrate “Book Lovers Day” on August 09, 2020. Let’s have fun with some quiz questions. Yes, you can use the internet, if you wish. I will reveal the answers on Monday morning, August 10, 2020, on my Facebook and Twitter pages. But wait, there’s more!
Answer one, or any of these questions, in the comment section for a random chance to win a free copy of any of my books at “Books by Rose.”
(USA only. Sorry, the shipping is too high to mail out of the United States.)
I had fun learning these facts and I hope you will, too.

I’m coming late to the game so I won’t cheat and make “guesses” since I already saw the answers. However, I love your last question as someone whose mother suffered from dementia as a way to educate people about this horrible disease. Actually, my mother loved to read throughout her life until she lost her ability to comprehend and concentrate, so I know reading is not a guarantee. But I have read statistics and studies that support the theory that mental challenges like reading may help to preserve brain health and stave off symptoms of Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia in old age. Thanks for sharing this information with your awesome quiz. And I love to smell books – just didn’t know there was a name for it!
Hi Julie, so glad you stopped by for the fun facts and your story. I know it is not a guaranteed that reading will prevent this terrible disease, but oh how I wish it were the case for everyone. I think the experts in this field would like to remind those out there, keeping the brain as active as possible will hopefully reduce or slow it down for some people. As you know, this disease comes in many forms, so what works for one, may not work for another.
I didn’t know a lot of these tidbit on books. It was fun looking them up. 🙂
Thanks again Julie! Enjoy the rest of your week.
